Tired machines get a breath of new life at Scantruck

New Premium concept ensures well-served machines many extra operating hours

It is guaranteed to be a machine, but is it also a machine with guarantee? Not anymore, if it’s a bit older and somewhat tired, and some wear parts may need replacing.

This is the reality for many construction machines, which day by day seem to be approaching retirement age a little too quickly. Unless they visit the machine clinic and get a life-extending boost to ensure several thousand extra operating hours. Then, they become Premium machines with renewed power for many new tasks.

Scantruck A/S is launching the Premium concept of refurbishing excellent construction machines that have simply become a bit tired and need a makeover with replacement of worn machine parts and a facelift at the same time.

Premium instead of new

“It makes good sense both to have your construction machines refurbished to Premium standard, but also to buy Premium machines, if a completely new machine is not required. A Premium machine is a used machine, which we refurbish to tip-top condition”, Sales Manager Claus Bjerregaard at Scantruck A/S explains.

“We often see machines around 10 years old, but typically with just between 2,500 and 3,500 hours on the hour counter. They are not worn, but cosmetically unappealing, since they have been exposed to the elements. We take care of them using Scantruck's new Premium concept”, Claus Bjerregaard says.

“Refurbishing typically includes the machine being ground down, primed and painted twice. All worn parts are replaced and all functions are tested in our workshop. Typically, we also change the tires and the result is a fine and shiny machine in tip-top condition with new life”, Claus Bjerregaard continues.

Since all steel in the machine is recycled, the refurbishing further ensures that the Premium machine contributes to reduced CO2 emissions.

Of course, the cabin is also completely refurbished, when Scantruck's mechanics turn a tired and worn machine into a Premium.

It’s like a new machine. Many years of hard wear seem to have passed without a trace on this Manitou MT1440, which has been turned into a Premium.
