This machine is built for controlled demolition at height

This Komatsu high reach demolition excavator is configured for dismantling work where reach, stability and visibility matter. The machine weight is 63,400 kg, which supports stable operation during demanding demolition tasks. Overall length is 19,510 mm, width is 2,980 mm and construction height is 3,395 mm. These dimensions are relevant when planning transport, site access and machine positioning before work begins.

The machine uses a high reach demolition boom. This boom layout supports work on upper structures during controlled dismantling. It is relevant for projects where material must be removed in a planned sequence. The machine is therefore suited to demolition contractors handling industrial buildings, commercial structures and other reinforced sites.

The undercarriage supports stable handling on changing job sites

A hydraulically extendable undercarriage allows the machine width to change from 2,980 mm to 3,980 mm. This gives a clear basis for balancing transport access with working stability on site. Skidsteer steering supports controlled machine movement in restricted working areas. This is useful where demolition work takes place near remaining structures, barriers or stockpiled material.

Protection plates on the upper structure help shield exposed sections during heavy site use. Heavy duty bottom plates on the upper structure are also included. These details are relevant where debris, broken concrete and sharp material increase wear around the machine body. For contractors, this supports a machine setup intended for severe demolition conditions.

The cab layout supports visibility and operator control

The driver cab includes heating, climate control and a joystick layout for machine operation. An air suspended Grammer Evolution seat with damper, ventilation and heating is fitted. A 30 degree tilting cab supports visibility during high reach demolition work. This is important when the operator must follow the tool position at height for long periods.

An outer rear view mirror and a large parallel front wiper are included. KomVision camera monitoring adds further support around the machine. A work area indicator with visual display and audible alarm helps define machine movement in operation. ISO 10262 level 2 OPG guards protect the front window and roof. Impact resistant glass to EN356 Grade P5A is also fitted.

The hydraulic system supports attachment changes and precise tool setup

Hydraulics for a quick coupler are included, which supports attachment changes between demolition tasks. A pressure holding valve on the boom supports controlled hydraulic function during operation. The Komatsu K100 boom change system is fitted for boom handling within the machine setup. Drain lines for attachments are included as part of the hydraulic package.

The Komatsu Tool Control System allows oil pressure and oil flow settings to be managed. This is relevant when the machine works with different demolition attachments requiring defined hydraulic input. For contractors using several tools on one project, this supports more consistent setup between tasks. It also gives a clearer basis for matching hydraulic performance to the attachment in use.

The engine and support systems are configured for daily site operation

The Komatsu engine package includes automatic idle and autostop. A diesel filling pump with autostop is also included. The exhaust aftertreatment system uses a diesel particulate filter and SCR with AdBlue. A reversible fan supports cleaning of cooling surfaces during dusty demolition work. These functions are relevant on sites where airborne material can affect cooling performance.

Electrical equipment includes a back up alarm, battery main switch and a rotating beacon. A large LED work light package is fitted on the boom, roof, sides and counterweight. A coming home light function supports visibility when the machine is parked after work. Komtrax monitoring is included for machine follow up and operational oversight. Together, these features support planning, safety and machine management across active demolition projects.
